It is with great sadness that I post the news of our classmate, Sue Fazekas-Sardi's passing. After a year of treatments, tears, and heroic efforts, determined tho' she was to overcome, Sue finally succumbed on Thursday, January 12th to the Leukemia that took a hold of her shortly after our reunion. She leaves behind her daughter Alison (12), former husband David, her mother and sister Arleen and family - all of whom are in our prayers. Prior to Sue's final round before Christmas - a bone marrow transplant from her sister Arleen - she decided to once and for all return to the Keys. Sue was buried in Key West on Sunday, January 29th. |
